We little knew the day that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories.
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.

Dear Lord,
I need you here with me, to hear me when I pray,
and I'll need lots of courage with what I face today.
I'll need the comfort of your touch - to know that you are hear
I'll need some strength to overcome and calm these waves of fear.
Please help me to accept the things I cannot understand.
what ever cross is mine to bear. I know you will hold my hand.
In human weakness now I pray and ask that you will do for me,
dear Lord, the many things that I am unable to.
Please guide the minds and hands of those on whom I now depend.
as you decide, I shall abide my faithful, truest friend
Thank you Lord,
AMEN
