Obituary: Born in October 1945 in Rives, Missouri, he passed from this life on July 15th in Bakersfield, California. Larry was the son of the late Ray and Ola B. Nobles. Larry attended North High School, and graduated from Madera High School in June of 1963. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Vietnam War. He served two overseas tours on the aircraft carriers U.S.S. Midway and the U.S.S. Constellation as a flight director.
His last forty years have been spent in the oilfield related trucking business. He was at the time of his passing the Regional Manager for Acme Truck Lines. Larry was a well regarded, and well known in the Kern County Petroleum Industry.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Madeleine Pavicich Nobles, son Anthony and Joannie Nobles, of Bakersfield; son Aaron and Carla Nobles of Casper, Wyoming; and five grandsons Matthew of the US Navy-San Diego, Andrew of Colorado. Caleb and Ryan of Casper, Wyoming and Eli of Bakersfield.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 26th at 10:45 a.m. at the Bakersfield National Cemetery with Monsignor Raul Sanchez of St. Phillips Parish officiating.
