Greg Edmondson

Greg was born Gregory Lee Edmondson, in Kansas, on September 11, 1957
He was born to father Jerry, mother Donna and sister Sheri
Greg went to W.T. White High School in Dallas, TX
He fell in love and married his sweetheart Katy
He and Katy welcomed two daughters, Leslie Renee and Rebecca Kay
Greg loved his daughters very much
After a divorce, Greg left Grand Prairie, Texas and relocated to Southern California, to help his father Jerry with service work in the oilfields, in and around Bakersfield, CA.
Greg lived in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas while working for his father, and also while working as a Welder for US Filter in Whittier, CA.
Greg eventually relocated to Bakersfield, and worked as a Welder for Boilermakers Local 92
Greg has called Bakersfield his home for over a decade plus, and formed a close relationship his neighbors and work friends. They tell very funny stories about Greg!
If you were lucky to have Greg as a family member, or as a friend, or significant other, then you know Greg was a straight-shooter.  He said right out, what was on his mind.  He could see the Big Picture and comment on the progress or outcome of the matter!  He was very savvy on world affairs, politics, history and current events.
For Greg’s forthrightness, he was a very sensitive individual, and a bit shy.  Often, Greg would send you an email, just a couple of words, showing that he was thinking about you. Other times, he would mail you the most “perfect” greeting card. He took TIME to think of others.
He enjoyed his many friends and enjoyed having BBQ’s, playing Music and played Guitar. He liked Sports, especially his beloved team, the Dallas Cowboys, and reading. He enjoyed cross word puzzles and even worked the puzzles with his family while at Mercy Hospital.
Greg loved his California and Texas families and friends.
Above all, he loved and valued his daughters, Becky and Leslie, and he loved the fact that he was a Grandfather to:  Briana, Annabelle, Jestina, Jennifer (twins), Giovanni, Joshua and two year old Juliana.

Greg is in our family and friendship photos, in our memories and hearts forever.
We can take solace that Greg is with our Heavenly LORD, and reunited with his father, mother, and sister.  We love you Greg, forever and ever….

I won't be far away, for life goes on.
