Everything appeared the same today on the surface.
The trucks in the driveway.
The Harley in the garage.
The water sparkling in the pool.
Yet YOU were missing.
Your laughter, your reassuring voice.
And all who knew and loved you.
Knew that although everything appeared the same.
Nothing will be the same again.
Everything reminds us of you.
Music Turned up too load
A bud light bottle
Even an HPS truck driving down the road
Yet......we know.... things will never be the same again.
I know you're looking down on us.
Even me... as I write this poem from the heart.
You're saying... "It will be OK, little fella."
Someday, in heaven, you will greet us.
And things will go back to being the same again.
