Frances Ann Tracy - age: 64
(October 04, 1947 to August 24, 2012 )
Resident of Bakersfield, California
Obituary: Frances Ann Tracy, 64 years old, died suddenly in her home on Fri, Aug 24, 2012. Ann was a loving mother, daughter, sister, cousin, friend and neighbor.
Ann had a soft spot for animals and leaves behind her loving and devoted dog, Stanley. My mom loved gardening, cooking, sewing, genealogy, and helping others.
In high school, my mom was the Mascot of Jefferson High School in Daly City, Ca and we have many pictures of her in an Indian outfit, posing and dancing. My mom loved the arts, theater, music and performance. She was a graceful synchronized ballet swimmer and loved being in the water. Thoughout my mother's life she was always told she looked like Meryl Streep.
At 18 years old my mother married and became the mother of 2 children, Mark Guerin Tracy and Kristina Lynn Tracy. My mother's first career was being an at home mom and homemaker. My mom served as a teacher in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and made many close friends and loved the community, joy and support it brought throughout her life. In 1982, mom divorced and entered the workforce as an administrator for the next 10-15 years. Mom had enough of the corporate world and became a school bus driver for handicapped children in San Jose, Ca. I'd never seen my mom so happy in a job and she loved the kids she took care of and they loved her.
In 2002, my mom suffered a major heart attack, stroke and temporary paralysis and was unable to return to the job she loved. In 2007, my mom moved from her long time home in San Jose (Willow Glen) and moved to Bakersfield, Ca where she moved from a condo to a house with a huge large yard for her dog and gardening.
As we sort through all the legalities and details of her passing, a Celebration of Life will be held in the SF bay area once her cause of death is determined.
Mom, I love you, miss you and my heart is broken. I hope and pray she is at peace and surrounded by her mother, "Ma", friends and family who passed before her.
More details to come on her Celebration of Life. Love and thanks to those who have reached out to me and my brother during this difficult time.
